Empowering Voices, Defending Rights: Inside the Inaugural Gun Owners Advocacy and Leadership Summit
How do you sum up an Inaugural Event that took place over a few days that Celebrates and advocates Gun Ownership? Just a few words: Amazing, Impactful, and great for networking. The Gun Owners of America Organization held their 2-day event in Knoxville, Tennesse. Rob and I decided to drive, especially since driving allows us to enjoy the scenery on the way in. (If you’ve never been to Tennessee, do yourself a favor and visit).

We attended the Range Day, which featured some amazing products. It also allowed the media and influencer community to connect with Vendors and spin up Social Media content. In addition to seeing some friends and familiar faces, we had the opportunity to meet new people entering the space. With roughly a window of 6-8 hours, we were able to fire suppressed, long-range, semi-auto, full auto, pistols, and more. The three that stood out to me the most were Anderson Manufacturing, Matador Arms, and Moutnain Billy Gun Lab.
Anderson Manufacturing had its Front Line series on display. We shot the Front Line 16 which was fully auto. Yall, anytime you have a chance to shoot full auto, you should. To say it's fun does it no service because it is a must-experience type of ordeal. The FrontLine16 is an amazing firearm that combines precision engineering with unmatched reliability, making it a top choice for gun owners who demand the best. It has a sleek design and advanced features, the Front Line 16 must be a favorite among shooting enthusiasts because if you visit the site they are out of stock.
In addition to Anderson, Matador Arms had their Mat9 on display and ready to shoot at the Range Day. Both of these platforms were entirely too much fun to shoot. This upper receiver is designed to be side-folding compatible and includes Matador Arms®' patent-pending EZTS™ "Easy Take-down System" which allows for quick disassembly without the need for tools. The 9mm upper is precision machined for optimal weight reduction, a slim profile, and seamless compatibility with bolt catches and lower receivers. It also features a tapered multi-material 4-piece trunnion system to ensure consistent mechanical accuracy and long-term durability.

But what I want to talk about is Mountain Billy Gun Lab. They had a very clean 22LR platform out on the range day that everyone enjoyed shooting. Well, everyone I spoke about it with. The weight was seriously on the lighter side of thee scale. I was impressed with how light the build is. The Mountain Billy Gun Lab 22LR platform is a top-of-the-line firearm that is perfect for both beginners and experienced gun owners. This platform offers unparalleled accuracy and reliability, making it a popular choice among gun enthusiasts. With its sleek design and high-quality construction, the Mountain Billy Gun Lab 22LR platform is the perfect addition to any collection. Rob and I were talking about adding a couple to our collection as well.

In addition to these 3 standout products, there were several panels open to everyone. The panels featured content creators, brands, and leaders in the fight for the Second Amendment. The Breakout sessions included a GOA’s women and student’s forum. Depending on where you went you may have heard a talk by Brandon Herrera, or seen Delegate AC Cordoza, a Republican candidate for the 91st District in the Virginia House of Delegates, strolling the floor. Shermichael Singleton, American political strategist, writer, and CNN Political Commentator, attended and spoke as well.

The Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) was present. We met on the main floor, POMA’s goal is to help bring media professionals together to have fruitful relationships with other industry professionals and companies alike. The entire event had a little bit of everything for everyone and went off without a hitch. This was only year one! As an Agency Owner and an advocate for the Second Amendment, I can’t wait to see what is in store for years to come as the event matures and evolves.
